Abstract:
This report explores the questions of what can be done to reconnect young people to opportunities for building useful lives, and, who is doing what, and where, to reengage out-of-school youth with the social and economic mainstream. Descriptions of community programs in Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, Utah, Oregon, California, New Jersey, Maryland, Arizona, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, as well as major national programs such as Job Corps and the Youth Service and Conservation Corps, are presented.
