Abstract:
The guide addresses four priority areas of standards-based reform in adult education. The areas are: building instructors' understanding of standards, translating standards into curriculum, aligning student assignments with standards, and assessing the extent to which teachers are using effective instruction to teach to the standards. The guide was developed over three years with input from adult educators nationwide.
