Abstract:
This paper presents visions on the ways that technology can support the development of youth and adult literacy, and non-formal education in a global perspective, with an emphasis on developing countries. Beginning with a discussion of history, status, trends, and issues related to technology applied to adult literacy, the paper analyzes approaches to the use of technology and concludes with implications for policy makers.
