Abstract:
Part I, "understanding workplace literacy," contains information to help union leaders understand the issues so they will make workplace literacy part of the union's agenda. Part II, "designing a worker-centered program," gives nine specific action steps for program design meeting workers needs. Part III, "getting more information," includes a list of HRDI's Technical Resource Group members, outside funding resources, books and articles, and an index of labor organizations.
