Activity Description

This Web site is filled with tools to assist teachers as they set up their math course as well as students looking for individual help. The site includes class notes, video worksheets, video lectures (using different formats if you cannot access YouTube), homework sets, topic quizzes to assess if students are able to skip the topic, and much more.

Preparation

  1. Preview the site. Read the information on the home page to familiarize yourself with the site. Then select a course/topic in the left side navigation menu. Then you will see the Class Notes, Video Worksheets, Video formats, Homework sets and Topic Quizzes that are available.
  2. Preview the video
  3. If you plan on group activities after the class watches the video, print the homework set for your topic choice.
  4. Print copies of answer keys (found at the end of some of the homework sets, also problem answers are available in the class notes).
  5. Have an answer key to the Homework set available if you want students to correct their own work.

Teacher Tips

  • Support Struggling Students: Print out Video Worksheets so they can follow along.
  • Enrichment: Encourage advanced learners to create their own topic quizzes using Algebra2Go resources. 
    Make It Fun: Gamify the practice with challenges or competitions. 

More Ways

  • Explore other courses offered on the left side menu. Beginning Algebra is not yet finished (missing homework sets and topic quizzes), but there are wonderful Class Notes and Videos to aid in understanding Algebra.
  • Be sure to check Resources (scroll further down the left side menu). The study guides are well written and worth printing for student use.
