This session introduces basic concepts, approaches, strategies, and resources about the creation, design and delivery of Canvas courses that are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.
Tuesday, April 11, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM | Advancing Canvas Skills: Different Learning Modalities
Depending on the modality, learn how to design and facilitate your course using the following: Face-to-face, Flipped Learning, Blended Classroom, Universal Modality Best Practices, Canvas Mobile Apps.
Wednesday, April 12, 12:00 PM 1:30 PM | Using CC Licenses and CC Licensed Works
In this session, a deeper dive is taken into Creative Commons licenses and the 5 R's that makeup OERs. Participants will learn the basics of creating OERs, be shown tools that help create and revise learning materials, and how to correctly attribute and license their own works as OER using free software that will assist in retaining and protecting intellectual rights. All participants will learn insights and knowledge in identifying true OERs as well as searching for resources in several vetted OER repositories.
