Peer Digital Navigators Key to Digital Equity

Posted on 08/24/2023

Closing digital divides “points to the value of educators having lived experience, cultural and language competencies and the trust of the community.” Digital Navigators are people who volunteer or are staffed to “connect people to the Internet, devices and support for digital skills.” Some agencies are even “training participants to serve as ‘Peer Digital Navigators’” to assist with the community’s digital needs.
