Are You Ready for the 2020 Great California ShakeOut?
The Great California ShakeOut will take place on Thursday, October 15 at 10:15am in California and other locations around the US and the world. This is the 13th anniversary of the ShakeOut, which started in Southern California in 2008. This year, the focus is on protecting Californians both at home and at work or school due to COVID-19.
There is a website devoted to the Great California ShakeOut External Link Icon opens in new window or tab with numerous resources you can use to prepare your students, staff, and site for an earthquake. Under Plan Your Drill on the left side of the home page, you can sort the information you need by site (home, school, library, business, etc.) and region in California. To plan for the day, take a look at the following materials:
