Adult Education Resources Now Available at CK-12
The CK-12 Foundation offers free, high-quality, open content through an integrated learning platform, including digital textbooks, adaptive practice, interactives, concept-based learning, and much, much more. We're happy to announce that you can now find high quality content at CK-12 to support adult learning!
CK-12 has partnered with OTAN to make a series of FlexBooks® 2.0 specifically customized for ABE and ASE high school and equivalency learners. Each FlexBook® 2.0 is filled with simulations, videos, interactive activities, and adaptive practice – and the best part is, it’s all for free.
Whether you have an adult learner looking to get started or are an adult educator looking to bring this new curriculum into your own context, you won’t want to miss the upcoming three-part webinar series to learn more on how to get the most out of adult education content at CK-12.
First up, on Wednesday, April 7th at 1:00 pm PDT, join us for an Introduction to CK-12 for Adult Education. In this webinar, you’ll learn best practices for navigating CK-12 adult education resources and hear more about the deeply interactive digital textbooks (FlexBooks® 2.0) used to support this curriculum. The goal of this session is to help you feel confident in exploring the site and leave with impactful resources ready-to-use with adult learners. The Part 2 webinar is scheduled on April 14, and Part 3 is scheduled on April 28. You can sign up for all three webinars on the California Adult Education Training Calendar.
We hope you’ll take a look at what CK-12 has to offer our adult education teachers and learners!
