During California Adult Education Week from March 27 to April 2, adult schools across the state plan events to celebrate the work being done at their locations and the success of their adult students who have overcome difficulties to achieve their goals and dreams. This year, due to the renovations occurring in the Capitol Building as well as the feedback received from adult educators who made virtual legislative visits last year, the California Council for Adult Education (CCAE) is encouraging virtual visits with legislators again this year to advocate for adult education.

Adult Education Week reminds us of the close connections between adult schools and the communities in which they operate, and how adult education students are involved in bettering their lives, families, and localities academically, professionally, and holistically. It is also an opportunity to advocate for adult education in our communities and at the state level. CCAE has prepared some Advocacy resources that you can use (and not just during Adult Education Week!) to spread the word about adult education and how it's working at a local level.
