** Moodle - Creating an Online Course! **

Description

Moodle is an online learning management system where teachers can post assignments, have an online discussion, organize documents, create quizzes or other assessments, track students' progress and grades, and more.

This workshop will introduce participants to the current OTAN Moodle system, basic Moodle functions, shell course options, and guide participants through creating a course for adult education classes. All who use or are thinking of using Moodle are welcome to attend! Those participants who are authorized** will be given a free OTAN Moodle course shell.

(*) This title may be scheduled as a series of workshops where each session builds upon the last.

** Authorized participants include all those currently employed by a California WIOA-funded adult education agency or who's agency is a member of a CA AE Consortia.

OTAN workshops may be requested, customized, and scheduled by qualifying adult education agencies for their staff as targeted professional development.

OTAN workshops may be conducted as a "hands-on”, where participants are asked to provide their own devices, as “presentations” where a product or ideas are introduced, or as a discussion where all are encouraged to participate in a conversation around a specific idea or topic.

The desired outcome of every OTAN workshop is that participants will have a working understanding of the application or topics discussed and modeled.
