Advanced ESL Course on Canvas

LMS: Canvas, Google Classroom, and Moodle

Advanced ESL is an OTAN-shared online course that was originally developed using Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) for Intermediate High/Advanced Level ESL students.

With the move to the use of Instructure Canvas LMS across the state, the course was updated and redesigned as a fully shared Canvas course. The 18-unit course is topic based and covers the following language proficiency skills: listening, reading, writing, vocabulary development, and grammar.

This session will orient teachers and/or administrators to the course and how it could be incorporated into their ESL curriculum. The course is available by OTAN at no cost to California adult education agencies.
