TDLS 2022 - Interactive Digital Literacy Canvas Module for Low Level Learners

TDLS

We are the DLAC team from the San Diego College of Continuing Education presenting on our Online Learning Skills Canvas Module with resources that promote digital literacy in low level learners of any program. Our goal for this project was to collect existing resources produced by our institution and develop additional accessible UDL resources to fill the gaps as needed. Module content includes interactive quizzes, discussion prompts, tutorials, and multimedia assignments to familiarize learners with Canvas, Zoom, and other online tools. We brought these resources together into one cohesive Canvas Module (in Canvas Commons) that instructors, counselors, and instructional assistants from any institution can access, use, and modify. In this presentation, we will provide information about online learning support offered by our institution, share our Module, and provide instructional ideas for all levels. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss ideas for Module implementation.
