TDLS 2023 - Removing Barriers to Education via Distance Learning and OER texts

TDLS

There is a relation between availability of distance learning (DL) / flexible hybrid (HyFlex) learning course modalities (in addition to traditional face-to-face (f2f) instruction) and quantitatively measurable learning gains in addition to qualitative (intangible) benefits realized by reducing barriers to education presented by inequity. In recent years, educators have become privy to a host of new methods and materials for increasing not only equality (where all are provided with the same resources regardless of need) but also equity (where individuals are provided resources depending on need).
