TDLS 2023 - California Adult Ed Technology and Distance Learning – A Look at the Data

TDLS

We share preliminary findings from OTAN’s annual Technology and Distance Learning for California Adult Education report that provide a broad overview of distance learning in WIOA-funded adult schools and noncredit community college programs in California. The findings are based on the 2021-2022 program year results from the Student Technology Intake Survey, the Teacher Technology Skills Self-Assessment, the NRS Federal Reporting Tables 4 and 4C, the Program Implementation Survey, and a follow-up survey from OTAN earlier this year. Session participants are invited to reflect on the results and engage in a discussion about online and blended learning as well as the impact of technology adoption in the delivery of program offerings. We would also like to share with participants where we think we are heading and hear from participants about the challenges and opportunities of online and blended learning in adult education at the agency, local, regional, and state levels.
