Some agencies and teachers are hesitant to offer and teach hybrid courses for beginning and intermediate ESL students out of the misguided belief that this population lacks the prerequisite language proficiency or digital skills to study online. The presenters outline high-touch practices that onboard students effectively, engage students, and motivate them to complete online work and persist in their hybrid classes, walking away with new levels of self-efficacy and skills.
