Abstract:
This annual report to Congress is mandated by the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) of 1998. Each state negotiated its performance measures for the local programs that receive the federal pass-through dollars. This report provides performance data for Program Year 2002-2003. The outcome data summarized in this report gives an overview of national adult education performance. Data are presented in tables, "displaying the highlights of the national performance picture and then each State's statistical profile." This electronic version contains only the summary report and the performance data file for California. A copy of the full report with the data for all states is filed in U.S. Education Policy section of the Reference Library, i.d. # 5588.
