Abstract:
Published by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), "Literacy in Everyday Life" is the report of the 2003 National Assessment of Adult Literacy (NAAL). This report provides detailed information on the literacy of American adults age 16 and older as well as changes in their performance since the 1992 assessment. The relationship between literacy and several demographic variables, including education, occupation, and income, is also examined. An Executive Summary and an extensive list of references are included.
