Abstract:
This digest discusses current research on reading fluency and suggests strategies for teaching adult learners to read with fluency. Reading fluency includes accuracy, rate, and prosody. References are provided. This digest is one of a series of four on the topic of evidence-based reading instruction. The other digests cover alphabetics, vocabulary, and comprehension.
