Abstract:
This interim analysis is based on CAAL's research to date and includes an in-depth review of six career ladder programs offered in such institutional settings as a union, a hospital, a community-based organization (CBO), and three community colleges in partnership with an array of medical centers. Ideas and suggestions for institutions that may want to create a new healthcare careers program or improve existing programs for low-skilled, disadvantaged workers are provided.
