Abstract:
In the past, literacy training for persons with disabilities has focused on skills needed to succeed in the workplace, with a resulting high unemployment rate among the disabled. In the field of disability, successful skills training is becoming increasingly linked to concepts of workplace inclusion. The recently enacted Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has intensified company efforts to promote successful workplace integration. References are included.
