The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics sponsors this, Take a Challenge Web site that has 80 problem-solving challenges that can be used for algebra and geometry students. The site is also available in Spanish and if you do not have Internet access at your school, look for the link at the bottom of the page to Printing the Challenges for printed copies of each challenge.

In this activity, students solve twenty quadratic equations online using the quadratic formula. Incorrect answers are provided with Review, Remember, and Solve which take the student step-by-step to find the correct solution.

This site includes math exercises that can be done, corrected, and reviewed online. It is divided by grades, and you can choose the state standards. The free version only allows the student to answer 20 questions each day.

3. Algebra2go: Prealgebra Math

Activity Description

This Web site is filled with tools to assist teachers as they set up their math course as well as students looking for individual help. The site includes class notes, video worksheets, video lectures (using different formats if you cannot access YouTube), homework sets, topic quizzes to assess if students are able to skip the topic, and much more.
