Students use the Algebra2Go Beginning Algebra resources to learn about polynomials. Through videos, class notes, partner activities, and guided practice, students identify polynomial expressions, classify polynomials by the number of terms, determine degree, and write polynomials in standard form. Students work collaboratively to analyze examples and explain mathematical reasoning.

Preparation

  1. Check the website to ensure it is not blocked at your site.

  3. Print and make copies of any handouts.

Teacher Tips

  • Pair students strategically to encourage peer support.
  • Pause videos frequently for discussion.
  • Encourage students to use correct mathematical vocabulary.
  • Have students explain "why" an expression is or is not a polynomial.
