What’s new in your Canvas instance?

OTAN’s AE Canvas team updated each agency’s Instance with some new tools. If you are a member of the CDLC, then look no further than your Canvas Dashboard for three new customized for Adult Education tools.

• The Agency Administrator Training course is an asynchronous tool designed for people learning or needing to review the Account fundamentals. In it is everything from how to begin a new term to adding/deleting students and more.
• The Canvas Teacher Training course is an asynchronous tool built for teachers to use to learn how to create Canvas modules and assignments. In it are short procedural texts, some videos, and additional resources.
• The Canvas Training Video Library holds short videos demonstrating how to use different tools in Canvas. The library is organized into three sections.

The first is Administrator: Account Foundations. Anything about setting up courses, terms, teachers, and grades can be found in this section. The second, Teachers: Canvas Foundations is designed with the Canvas novice instructor in mind. Everything from Building Modules, Assignments, Quizzes and more can be found in that section.

Lastly, Teachers: Beyond Foundations is for the instructor who has mastered the beginning fundamentals of Canvas. There are many videos linked here designed to assist with Accessibility, Studio, Mastery Paths and more.
