The California Digital Equity Plan Draft is Now Available
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has released the state's draft Digital Equity Plan. CDT has developed an HTML version of the draft California Digital Equity Plan to be available in over 100 languages and compatible with assistive technology.
The draft Digital Equity Plan is open for public comment for 45 days, until January 25, 2024. The adult education perspective is extremely valuable in helping to refine the Plan and ensure it meets the needs of all Californians. To assist the development of this Plan further, submit a public comment; visit the State Digital Equity Plan webpage to access the draft, then select the public comment form and follow the instructions to share your feedback.
Read our previous OTAN news item for more information on adding public comments, an opportunity for the general public to provide feedback on proposed governmental rules and regulations to allow for a more inclusive rule-making process. Let’s all work to make sure the adult education voice is heard in this important initiative!
