Google Voice Typing
An amazing tool accessed in Google Docs and Slides is the Type & edit with your voice. It has come a long way since its inception with each additional iteration making the tool more accurate and easier to use. Accessibility is for everyone, and this tool allows a person’s voice to type and edit in Google Docs and add speaker notes and captions in Google Slides.
This feature works in the latest version of Chrome, Edge and Safari. If this feature is not enabled in your organization, then it may need to be turned on by your administrator.
Many languages and accents work with voice typing though punctuation may not be available in every language.
See full directions for using voice typing for Step 2 below from the Google Docs Editors Help. Steps 1 and 3 summarized for this article.
