As a part of our service to the adult education field, OTAN works to negotiate the best free or reduced-cost special offers for online curriculum licenses and professional development resources suggested by our OTAN Advisory Committee and adult educators in the field. Starting this fall, OTAN is offering two pilot program opportunities in which adult educators can participate. (Please note that these OTAN pilots are only available to adult education agencies in California.) Here is information about the programs:
- Learning Upgrade External Link Icon opens in new window or tab enables agencies to upskill adult learners using an engaging smartphone-based learning program that teaches English, math, GED prep, digital literacy, and job skills. This pilot will focus on using Learning Upgrade in your ESL and/or GED/HiSET/HSE programs. - Northstar Digital Literacy External Link Icon opens in new window or tab defines basic skills needed to perform tasks on computers and online in three areas: Essential Computer Skills, Essential Software Skills, and Using Technology in Daily Life. We are looking for a small number of adult education agencies that would like to become Northstar Locations.
