Upcoming OTAN Activities to Support Adult Educators – Week of 11/9

OTAN has scheduled a number of online webinars and Office Hours for our adult education colleagues who are teaching and supporting their learners remotely. (All times below are PST.)

OTAN Office Hours provide an opportunity to ask more detailed questions and get support on specific tools to use with students. You can sign up for these OTAN Office Hours at the California Adult Education Training Calendar:

Tuesday, November 10 from 4:00 to 5:00pm
Thursday, November 12 from 12:00 to 1:00pm

On Tuesday at 9:00am, Farzana Cassim will present Microsoft Office Series. This workshop series will cover three main areas of the Microsoft Cloud: OneDrive, Outlook, and OneNote. Part 3: Microsoft OneNote: In part three, you will learn how to use Microsoft OneNote to take control of information. This easy-to-use and powerful note taking program lets you capture ideas and information in electronic form. Learn how to create, edit, organize and enhance notes and integrate them with other applications with Microsoft OneNote. On Friday at 10:00am, OTAN will host Office Hours for Maximizing Moodle. The many features and resources available on OTAN's Adult Ed Online Courses Moodle site can be daunting to new users. Join us to get one-on-one support, help, suggestions and just plain old encouragement in using Moodle with learners. Attending teachers will drive the session with their questions and needs. On Friday at 1:00pm, Jennifer Gagliardi will present the November OTAN Tech Talk, Creating and Sharing YouTube Playlists. This webinar will explore how to gather, organize, and share YouTube video content to facilitate sequential independent study. Learn more by attending this OTAN Tech Talk!
