Upcoming OTAN Activities to Support Adult Educators – Week of 11/16

OTAN has scheduled a number of online webinars and Office Hours for our adult education colleagues who are teaching and supporting their learners remotely. (All times below are PST.)

OTAN Office Hours provide an opportunity to ask more detailed questions and get support on specific tools to use with students. You can sign up for these OTAN Office Hours at the California Adult Education Training Calendar:

Tuesday, November 17 from 4:00 to 5:00pm
Thursday, November 19 from 12:00 to 1:00pm

On Thursday at 1:00pm, Barry Bakin will present Easy Projects with Microsoft Office. This series will give show instructors some easy, simple, project-based activities using some of the Microsoft Office Suite of tools. Part 2 - Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel: Participants will be shown simple project-based activities for language practice and learning using PowerPoint and Excel. On Friday at 10:00am, OTAN will host Office Hours for Maximizing Moodle. The many features and resources available on OTAN's Adult Ed Online Courses Moodle site can be daunting to new users. Join us to get one-on-one support, help, suggestions and just plain old encouragement in using Moodle with learners. Attending teachers will drive the session with their questions and needs.
