TDLS 2022 - Engaging Practices for Remote, Hybrid, and Flex Adult Education Models
TDLS
Adult education teachers, especially during the explosion in the past two years of online and remote teaching, have been challenged to engage adult learners remotely. This includes both new teachers and experienced instructors who have easily engaged their students in in-person classes. Teaching remotely is one of the biggest challenges in our field. This session is designed to provide specific, detailed strategies to engage adult learners who have a wide range of kinds and levels of foundational skills. We will look at what makes online and remote teaching engaging for adult learners, and we will generate examples of engaging practices from our own teaching. Participants will be provided with access to an extensive list of engaging practices developed over the past two years.
